5. Bringing the Wood Campaign
Okay. Here’s the deal. Every team has a slogan, and they can’t all be good. That I realize. But the bad ones are usually bad because the creators somehow fail to recognize blatant double entendres. Precisely why I struggled so mightily with the Lady Vols’ Grind for 9.
But this Bringing the Wood business takes the cake. A line of buff dudes wearing unis that are alternately inverted, walking abreast, holding hands with one another beneath the slogan Bringing the Wood?
If they’re bringing it, are we to assume that, come gametime, these young men will indeed be sporting wood? Makes you wonder.
Regardless, good luck with the wood, Sooner Nation. Hopefully UT will use it to light your ass up. I understand it’s unlikely.
But you never know.
