Look out for Hugh Freeze’s Rebels, another team that could have a very strong year. I know, the picture above. I just couldn’t help it. Because it’s not just a line from a song I wrote at the beach while negotiating various stages of intoxication. It’s something I’ve always thought. Hugh Freeze really does look like a poor man’s Phil Mickelson.
And there’s no shame in that. No shame in his team, either. Their D-line is nasty, led by Robert Nkemdiche who may be the baddest dude in the SEC. On offense, wide receiver Laquon Treadwell is one of the most promising young stars in the league, the Rebel Marquez North to be certain. And with an experienced quarterback like Bo Wallace leading the charge, the Rebels should be able to put plenty of points on the board this year.
And, hey, speaking of Bo Wallace, is it just me, or does he not kinda remind you of Wooderson from Dazed and Confused?
I know. He doesn’t talk like Wooderson.
But it’d be a lot cooler if he did.
