WRU in Good Hands
Coach Zach Azzanni knew he had to upgrade the talent at his position during the offseason and he was able to do so quite nicely with the additions of Josh Malone, Von Pearson and summer sensation Vic Wharton. Add them to a unit that includes a healthy Marquez North and Josh Smith, a rededicated Pig Howard and the much improved Jason Croom and Johnathon Johnson and you have an extremely talented and versatile squad that is looking to make a huge leap in production in 2014.
The greatest thing about this talented this group is, however, is the fact that it looks like all of them will be back next season barring any unforseen events. They are young, extremely talented and look to have fully bought in to what the coaching staff expects from the position. They are making tough catches in traffic, blocking well on running plays and providing yardage after the catch that was almost nonexistent at times in 2013. Look for the receivers to be among the most improved position groups on the team in terms of production this season.
